Indah Tri Purwanti is an ascociate professor in the Department of English Education at the University of Riau, Indonesia. She holds a PhD from Curtin University, and received her Master of Applied Linguistics from Macquaire Univeristy, Australia. Her main fields of interest include pragmatics, intercultural communication, politeness, and discourse analysis, English foreign language (EFL) education and ICT, and gender.
